Stand By For Glory
-Sister Debbi Arminio
Isaiah 60:1 says “Arise Jerusalem! Let your light shine for all nations to see! For the glory of the Lord is shining upon you!”. In this dark day that we live in, our God has a plan to light up the world in a very special way. For this glorious task He will use all the faithful children that have been born into His Kingdom. These are they who have been cleansed by the blood of the Lamb, also have withstood fiery trials, and valiantly endured for the Gospel’s sake. What a thrill awaits those who have ultimately chosen to ‘stand by’ Jesus until the end!
FINGERPOWER
-Tony Sutherland
“Blessed be the LORD, my rock, Who trains my hands for war, And my fingers for battle.” (Psalms 144:1 NASB)
For some keyboard players, it comes easy. For some it’s not always black & white. However, you can learn to overcome intimidation and limitations when sitting behind the steering wheel of the band. This practical session will infuse novice and even more advanced keyboard players with increased proficiency on their instrument. Tony will address KEY areas such as: creating atmosphere, expanding voicings, simplifying progressions, navigating transitions, removing distractions and more. This class will help you improve not only your own playing but the overall worship experience as a whole.
WORSHIP: IS IT REAL OR JUST AN ILLUSION
-Tony Sutherland
Too many times worship leaders are expected to “make it happen.” Rather than release our congregations in authentic worship, often we are reduced to becoming “conjurers of tricks.” Is this a realistic expectation? Are we responsible for the worship experience of the church? Do we attempt to leave our congregations spellbound by the performance or transformed by the presence? Are we all about the cloud or the crowd? Does the church at large long for a true manifestation of God’s glory or merely a staging of smoke & mirrors? In this powerful and provocative session, Tony will address these questions through deep insights revealed in the story of Daniel? Don’t miss this session. It will wreck you for normal!
Keepin It Fresh
-Cathy Skelley
“What? Another rehearsal, another song to learn, another service? Week after week, after week….. Somebody help me!” More than ever before, the enemy of your soul wants you to be cast down, tired, overwhelmed, and ineffective. Is it possible while living in this age of distractions and pressures to continually stay excited, passionate, and fresh while serving on your worship team or choir? The answer is ABSOLUTELY, Yes! The Good Shepherd of your soul wants you full of His joy, anointing, power, strength, passion, and fire. In “Keepin It Fresh,” you will learn how by applying God’s “Fresh Oil,” you can live a life of peace, joy, and victory as you fulfill your calling and purpose in Him. Come fan your flame and refresh your soul, as we look to the Good Shepherd to see how we can stay “fresh” and effective for the Kingdom of God.
Vocals Workshop
-Sheri Gould
Brass Arrangement
-James Wheeler
Praise Him with the sound of the trumpet is an eternal admonition that means more than just an occasional blowing of the shofar! Expand your vision to get brass and wind players back into your worship ministry.
Has the modern worship scene left your “legit” brass and wind instrumental players standing on the sidelines? If you could find a way to expand your team, release more of these potential gifts and do it in a modern, relevant way would you? If so, then this workshop is for you.
You will get practical tips on establishing reasonable goals and objectives for a worship horn section. You’ll learn how to identify potential players and connect with them in a way that is a “win” for them and for your worship team. You’ll discover how to utilize charts that compliment the sound and flow of your worship, yet remain flexible to the flow of the Spirit.
As a former professional studio trombonist and horn section arranger, as well as a seasoned worship leader, James understands the dynamics of horn section ministry from both perspectives. Attend this worship and take advantage of this potential added dimension to your worship ministry.
Developing Mission and Vision for Your Worship Ministry
-James Wheeler
This class will help you articulate a mission and vision that does more than just copy the latest trends around the body of Christ. The class will help you discover what makes your ministry unique, what the vision of the local house is, and how to center it all in God’s Word. The class will also encourage you to get specific and narrow the focus of your mission to what God has called you as a worship ministry to accomplish. A clear and specific mission and vision will liberate you and your team, to say “yes” to vision, and “no” to every other good idea that comes along. Even if you presently have a specific mission and vision; maybe it’s time to reassess, so that you can move ahead with God’s highest for your worship ministry.
Discovering New Technologies for Worship
-Peter Vaque
We will cover video projection, software, lighting, fabrics and art as an enhancement and expression of worship.
Facilitating Worship
-Peter Vaque
Worship leading is more about facilitating than actual leading; providing the vehicles for a congregation to enter into the presence of God.
This class will cover the basic elements of a worship service from a technology perspective. Including the use of lighting, video projection, pre-planning, audio, song selection and transitions.
Locking Arms With Pastor
-Donnie Rosa
The Lord is preparing to release a powerful move of the Spirit in America in a greater dimension then we have ever experienced. A unique anointing will be released to bring in the greatest harvest in the history of the Church. I truly believe that this move will start to ignite through a return to pure worship in the local church. Worship leaders and worship team members need to “Lock arms” with their Pastor’s and become and remain submitted servants to the vision of the house for the Lord to “Command the blessing”. This class will discuss how to preserve the unity and experience and maintain this mighty move.
Psalm 133 says “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! It is like the precious oil upon the head, running down on the beard, the beard of Aaron, Running down on the edge of his garments.
It is like the dew of Hermon, Descending upon the mountains of Zion; for there the LORD commanded the blessing–Life forevermore.
Guitarworks
-Tony Ford
In today’s modern worship movement, guitar is king. Guitarists are often the center of attention on the music platform and the core sound of this generation. With this role comes a huge responsibility to keep up with the changing music culture while at the same time point people to Christ in worship. In this one-of-a-kind session, worship guitarists will have the unique opportunity to receive awesome tips that will take their musicianship to the next level and will also be refocused on their PURPOSE and the PERSON whom they’re rocking it out for.
Sound Systems For The Portable And Small Church
-Doug Gould
Many of our churches meet in rented spaces, including mine. The faster the gear can be set-up and taken down is a huge advantage in this environment. Our church for example is charged additionally every hour that goes by after our time is up. We also don’t want to tie up the volunteers’ day.
This class will illustrate how easy systems can be to set up and operate, even by volunteers with little to modest levels of skills. We will demonstrate the scalability of these systems so that as the church grows , the systems capabilities can grow right along with it. We will talk about loudspeakers, audio mixers for the sanctuary and the stage and why you would want to consider digital technology for these applications: presets and recall, which will facilitate fast and repeatable set up and operation.
Mics And Monitors For Vocalists
-Doug & Sheri Gould
Instrumentalists invest much time, effort and money into the research and acquistion of their instruments. Vocalists, on the other hand, will use any microphone that’s handed to them. Why? Learn what to look for when auditioning microphones and what the obvious and subtle differences are. We’ll demonstrate lead and background vocal microphone tips and tricks to enhance the vocal sound in your mix. We’ll also discuss monitoring for the vocal team as well.
